Hey, I'm Jakub Gause

Software engineer from the Czech Republic. Crafting dev tools that don't suck. Leading the way at Topol.io & Lettr.com. I build SaaS products, write code for a living, and occasionally write about what I learn along the way.

What I Do

By day, I freelance across the SaaS world. I've spent years deep inside products handling email infrastructure, billing systems, booking platforms, and everything in between. These days I mostly work in TypeScript, but I have a long history with Laravel + Vue and a soft spot for Go. I've worked on tools like Topol (email editor), Lettr (email API for Laravel developers), and Ecomail (email marketing).

I'm also a co-founder of Zaptime — a scheduling and booking platform that helps businesses stop playing email ping-pong with their clients.

My sweet spot is the boring, critical infrastructure that keeps SaaS products running — billing, queues, email deliverability, cloud plumbing (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, whatever fits). The stuff nobody notices until it breaks. I'm comfortable across the full stack and don't care much about the frontend vs backend debate. I do both.
